かすりきず【擦り傷】

1 〔擦過傷〕 a scratch; a graze; an abrasion; a bruise.

●ほんのかすり傷 a mere scratch; nothing but a graze.

●転んでかすり傷ができた. I fell over and grazed myself.

●その子は 5 階から落ちたが, 少々のかすり傷で済んだ. The child fell from the fifth floor but escaped with scratches.

●かすり傷を負う get [receive] a scratch 《on the arms》; be slightly bruised.

●発見されたとき彼はかすり傷一つなかった. When he was found, there was not even a scratch on him. | He was found totally unscathed.

2 〔少しの損害〕 minor damage.
